Dubbed Honor Sports Pro, the device is designed for users who want to listen to music while working out. So, if you are considering buying this pair of headphones then read our complete review before spending your money
Design and features
Being the latest Bluetooth headphones from the company, the Honor Sport Pro Sport an elegant and clean design. Looking closely at the device you will realise that its design resembles a lot to the Apple EarPods. The ear tips and its shape resembles a lot like that of Apple’s wired headphones that ship with the iPhone. Users will get several pairs of silicone tips with the different shapes and sizes included in the box. However, switching the tips becomes a bit of a task as the snug fit of the headphones makes it quite difficult to remove and then refit it. But, if you manage to fit them properly then the headphones will become quite comfortable. Also, the snug fit of the headphones prevents the earphones from dropping while you are working out.
In order to fit the earphones properly, you have to twist them anti-clockwise and insert them in the ears. Many users might not like this design, however, it is much better as compared to the design of the standard earphones as it just sits in the ears and does not go deep into the ear canal. The only design flaw we noticed with the earphones is that it does not isolate the ambient noise.
The earphones come with a lightweight and flexible neckband and not so long cable which makes it comfortable to wear. The earphones come with a braided cable, which prevents them from tangling and also makes them durable. The earphones come with an IPX5 rating which makes its splash and sweatproof. Along with this, another inserting design aesthetic is the button controls of the device. The buttons are placed on the right side of the neckband which makes it easier to reach and use while working out. Also, the buttons come with a unique texture due to which users can easily distinguish between the buttons and the activation key. Users can find the USB C connect by simply pulling off the top button module.
Another interesting feature of the Bluetooth earphones is the magnetic snap feature. Snapping the earbuds will pause the music from playing and will also put the earphones to sleep. This helps in preventing the battery from draining. Once you split the earbuds they will reconnect with the smartphone and will start playing the music.
Performance and battery life
The Honor Sport Pro wireless earphones offer pretty good sound quality. The earphones come with 13mm drivers which do an excellent job in handling bass. Often the bass output turns out to be quite powerful and muffles the vocals. Turning up the volume leads to slight distortions in the vocals and highs. However, speaking of the overall audio experience we found the bass to be super pronounced with balanced sounds.
Apart from a pretty good sound experience battery life is also a high point of Honor Sport Pro wireless earphones. The company claims that the hearable is capable of delivering 18 hours of music playback on a single charge. However, during our testing, we noticed that it managed to deliver a battery backup of 14 hours. This is also quite good as there are only a few wireless earphones available in the market that offer this kind of battery backup. Along with this, the earphones also come with fast charging support which means that with just 5 minutes of charging you can enjoy music playback of up to 4 hours.
So, if you are a fitness enthusiast then you can consider buying the Honor Sports Pro which retail at the price of Rs 3,999. Or there’s the JBL Endurance that offers similar features at Rs 200 less.
