Chinese smartphone brand Realme has confirmed that it will be launching its first fitness band in India on March 5. The company was expected to launch it along with the Realme X50 Pro smartphone, however, it has now got a new launch date. The Realme fitness band will take on the popular low cost fitness band from Xiaomi called the Mi Band.
Images of the band showcases that the fitness band from Realme will be launched in a Yellow colour option, even though we may see more colour options too. The wearable can be seen sporting a less than one-inch screen that should come with touch support. The display shows battery level and time as well as steps and calories count on the lock screen. The inside of the Realme fitness band can be seen sporting the company logo near the traditional watch buckle.
So far, we have no word on the specs and the pricing front for the Realme fitness band. The band is expected to compete with Xiaomi Mi Band series and Honor Band series that are priced between Rs 1,500-Rs 4,000. The main of the upcoming Realme fitness band, however, is likely to be Xiaomi’s Band 4 that sells in India at Rs 2,299 currently.
In a tweet posted earlier today, Realme India head Madhav Sheth has shared a one-minute long clip that gives a glimpse of upcoming products that Realme is set to launch in 2020. In the video, we see at least seven upcoming products from the brand including a smartwatch, smart clock, smart speaker, car charger, smart weighing scale, fitness band and smart TV.
